La piattaforma genomica presente in BRIT racchiude la strumentazione necessaria per il processamento Higth throughput in ambito di sequenziamento e valutazione dell’espressione genica. È possibile, infatti, eseguire un intero flusso di Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), comprendente la valutazione della qualità delle librerie, mediante elettroforesi su chip, il sequenziamento massimo e parallelo su piattaforma illumina MiSeq e un ulteriore controllo mediante protocollo SNP Genotyping in qRT-PCR. La piattaforma di Genomica offre anche la possibilità di verificare alterazioni del corredo proteico in Custom Array Reader oltre che procedere alla conta di trascritti mediante l’utilizzo della tecnologia Nanostring. La strumentazione è quindi in grado di soddisfare le maggiori applicazioni in campo della genomica e trascrittomica comprendendo workflow sperimentali che spaziano dalla 16s Microbioma. Al sequenziamento di interi geni fino a protocolli di Amplicon mRNA sequencing.
